Never handsome
yet had something
naive blushed easy
kissed gentle no tongue
held hands never groping
none kept him for long
he’d heard the whispers
he the slow one, kind though
too obeisant for his own good
one smiled, shyly asked him
to walk a while with her.

Well now that’s just sweet.

I wrote it quite a while ago! Dug it out and played around a bit with it today to make it fit a tweet.

However it came to be.. it was a sweet little thing. When’s your next book coming ?

Thank you, Tara – the next book, a slow build, I’d say about half-way through, I don’t write poems as quick or often as I used too, probably submit late this year.
