Your welcome Eric.
I agree, letting the whole if the mind in on the writing can be most rewarding.
(Although when it comes to Fantasy novels the conscious, sub-conscious, ID and the fingers are all get in a tangle….leastways that’s my experience)
I’m intrigued by the way your characters navigate relationships, Eric. The push-pull is complex and the lack of transparency regarding their own feelings creates interesting conflicts. 😀 So much in so few lines.
Ah, navigation in relationships as much scrapping along concealed rocks as glimpses of transparency… I write without a chart – a line becomes two then a few more till anchored just short of port for readers to row out and take on board their meaning…
This is gorgeous. I love what you did here.

I like the portrayal of those personal contracts we all make one way or another and the little, often unintentional ‘get out clauses’ .

Thank you, Roger – I find this to be an almost subconscious form of writing which I enjoy the most.

Ah, I steer well clear of fantasy – I have enough problems with the simple world I write off!

Nothing more complicated that writing about people’s relationships.
World building in Fantasy? In comparison? A doddle!
