Its passing felt by ache
by loss none can evade
by turn of wrist we watch
as allotted seconds spin
Its edge forward speeds
yet slowly once perceived
microwaves beep display
show time as ‘End’

I wish. It’s brilliant Emily Dickinson. She’s dying, wondering whether there’s an afterlife, expecting sth grant, but then a fly appears – sth very mundane which will be the last thing she’ll see before she dies.
Make sure you also find Because I could not stop for Death.
