Her slight, his consequence… misaddressed words.
All sophistication
beautiful most all say
why him, she’s smiling
he has his ways…
She said I like you
here beside me. I
guess not above,
below, behind her.
She said you’ll need
to love yourself to
love me. I guess
he never did.
It isn’t over till it isn’t
he’ll go out tomorrow
it’ll rain today she said
looking out the window
it hasn’t yet, it will.
Words, uncommon
foreplay, a mind
had her, she him
toss, heads, she wins.

Touch, touched up

The nature of our online world, as real, you remember people, however distant, they’re here in some way – a review by L Owen who blogged until a few years ago:
Easy reading short quirky poems about life and relationships

‘Easy reading but very thought provoking. Eric has a marvellous way of writing one thing but possibly meaning something else entirely. What exactly? That’s for you to decide, to interpret in your own way and that dear reader is the joy of poetry. From a poets point of view… I thoroughly enjoyed this collection.’

She didn’t say he didn’t mind
he lied telling her the truth
beyond lust his hand in hers
Found her voice he lost his
she opened up he felt inside
his words her words their silence
Well here we go again
my comments disappearing
or if a first one seen a second
may not be, as if I’m not caring,
devoid of touch and feeling, you
know that’s not true don’t you,
or maybe you’ve said screw you,
you know I wouldn’t blame you
and yes I’m smiling, don’t take me
seriously, you don’t do you, I’m
English, we don’t do feelings, do we?

She has so many, she’s had a few,
why him, singled when he’s nothing,
nothing more than different, so she
thinks, and him, men are men, some
show it, some do not, pretending she
isn’t, she is, she’s beautiful, end of.
