No label – two takes – six words into verse

Danced Alone Until

Moment taken in cool blue silence

Found her someone different like him

No label no sign of belonging

Slid the knife edge of discretion

Danced alone until he asked her

Caught a breath exhaled a smile

A man and woman never incidental

Naked in the blink of eyes

…..

The Game She Plays

He blushed she felt his innocence

She reset his hands to please

The game she plays so dangerous

His mind her eyes can’t see

He wears no sign no label

The risk she takes he calculates

He smiled he let her dream

Renovation – Poem and a line

Key in the door

a little stiff

needs lubricating

she keeps telling him

Steps inside

odd smell greets

wet plaster wood dust

others homes not his

Walls holes overfilled

tiles broken rough edges

doors an inch too short

frames botched distorted

Windows condensation soaked

heating gone awry

message painted on a wall

your home as you left mine

…..

Prerequisite… drill then screw. Nailed it.

‘I see, it has to be your way or not at all, no hint of a compromise, no flexibility, no give and take, no sign of you being prepared to concede to give us a chance, but I will, so I’ll wait to hear from you, I’ll not ask again.’   #1lineWed – theme ‘ Give/Take’

Nov 14

She knew the drill, keep him hanging on, playing with his heart, promising they’ll meet up soon, keep on saying ‘I’m nervous, I’m not ready’ when he keeps asking ‘why not yet?’ – damn him, she’s confused, the things he does to her with words… #vss365 – prompt ‘Drill’

Nov 15

Little spent as you and me, rail tickets cheap day returns, London pubs, chain restaurants, daylight hours no overnights, walking yet seen no sights, bank accounts our #pounds not stretched, time, as us, overdrawn unchecked. #vss365 – prompt ‘Pound’  (see ‘unstretched‘)

Not a Day – poem and a line

Poem:

You may not want to read this

you may feel I don’t deserve you

you may wish I hadn’t written

maybe you’ve given up on me

I may have got it wrong

in so many ways that’s me

I may have got you wrong

in what I need to be

There’s not a day you’re not with me

there’s not a day I’ll not smile

there will never be a day

I’ll not wonder how you are

Six Words:

Miss being… as one us two
