Poem:
She didn’t like the tone of his silence
a day she’d prefer he didn’t breathe
he’ll not try that hard to please her
takes another glass of her iced tears
Six Words:
Just asking… why’s your shadow blue?

‘Tone of silence’! Wow!

Thank you! Your comment makes for a better first line ‘She didn’t like his tone of silence’ which I’ll change to in the upcoming book.

I loved the tone of silence too. And why is a shadow blue?

Hi Basilike – I’m currently pairing up poems and lines (mostly six words) from all I’ve written simply by instinct – a connection in my mind. In this case it was a play on ice – as for if a shadow can be blue I’ll say a transient aberration of diffusion, a tear blink and it’s gone…

Phew! Glad you like the explanation, Basilike … even though a scientist, nowadays I think I’d have struggled to go figure the energetic nuances of blue shadows!

There are three kinds of chemist – inorganic, organic and physical – I’m primarily one of them – what’s your instinct which?
