Heart flip flopping on his sleeve
hers hung up in the wardrobe
strangers none more familiar than she
too close to read the spaces
Ever aching bending to her will
takes lines to crease a sheet
her every one deceived as tongue
he didn’t see until she’d gone
So true and perfectly well expressed my friend.

Thank you, Charlie – it’s me experimenting with ‘Six Word’ line connections again – I used to write a lot of Six-Word Stories – though more thoughts than stories in my case.

Your approach to the six word lines is remarkable and truly good. 🙂

So much placed in each line.
Pain and sadness some take pages to evoke.
As always, evocative
