EDC Shorts: Lines – prose – ‘poetry’ #8

Why

He didn’t have a prayer

His words don’t count for much

Face down in a puddle

Mud clinging to his clothes

Heel stamped hard down on his neck

Hands finding next to nothing

Blade slips past his spine

Heart cries out why

  1. Mini fiction story here. 🙂
Thanks for following my short verse site – there are links to my other two blogs.
I attempt to stay organized; long verse and fiction are the other main two.

Cheers, and thanks for entering my Rodeo! ~Jules
